Module 1 Tips
You will begin your journey by clicking on the "lessons" tab. Start your adventure of the human mind and resulting behavior in module 1. Read lesson 1.00 and then follow the instuctions as you go through each lesson in order.
1.00: It's just a pre-test. You are not expected to know the answers. Take your most educated guess :-) Pre-tests will not count against your overall grade. Don't freak if you see an F in your grade book after taking it!
1.01: Go into the "Discussion Groups" tab on the left side of your navigation page and click: "01.01 Getting to know your classmates". THEN click again on " Getting to know your classmates" (The top post by my name). Read the 4 questions I ask. Copy them if you'd like and then click on: "reply to this message" on the very bottom of that LONG page! Answer the questions, and then find two people to say "hey" to that are in the class with you. (Remember the two names) Put the date you posted and the two people your replied to in the "student comment box". Be sure to click "Submit for grading."
1.02: Be sure you know the people and modalities or approaches :-) You will take a quiz on them.
1.03: Think of something you've always wondered about. Watch it (easiest) or ask questions of others about it. Then tell us what we can learn from what you found out.
HINT: When you name your files...use your initials and the lesson number (WITHOUT THE PERIOD-everything goes wrong when you use one.). It should look like this: sj103.doc
If you resubmit, you can then put r1 on the end to keep them separate and help me know which one to open. So, sj103r1.doc would be the new name.
1.04: Remember your rule of multiplication! You will use it for a quiz.
1.05: Find the "I formula" that is highlighted in blue. Use it in a conflict situation. Be sure not to use the word "you". Follow the "grading rubric" for number of lines needed in the intro and dialoge because we have to grade by it!
1:06: Do you know which theory of emotion is right???
1.07: YEAH! We finally get to talk with you again :-) 1.08 has questions - you will want to have those answers. We will talk about what is in your notes and ensure you will have success on your first exam.
